The Dress for Success Columbus Boss Girl program invites girls to learn about soft skills in the context of their lives – not in the dry way that they are used to getting it. We understand that there is a lot going on for girls right now, so we better be interesting to capture their attention in a loud world.

Boss Girl does just that, opening up a new world of possibilities for any girl to have a future. We help high school girls to see themselves as a partner in their own lives and on their career path. This program helps girls:

  • Discover their unique gifts, strengths, and natural talents for a career
  • Learn about career paths and they will love and thrive in
  • Develop more confidence, so they can achieve their goals and dream
  • Determine next steps in their career paths through career development training
  • Uncover strengths to provide solid, objective direction

[Boss Girl gives] them some insight into what their future might look like, jobs that they haven’t thought of. I think one connection that many of the women who come to speak with our girls have is they talk about the “when I was 16 and here’s what I thought my future would look like.” And I think a lot of younger girls think that we have it all figured out at from an earlier age and we do not […] and just admitting to them that “yeah, you know, we still don’t have it figured out. You just kinda roll with it.”
